OTL: Beach Party or Sport?

Early this Saturday morning, thousands of people will gather on Fiesta Island in San Diego for what has become an annual ritual. Spanning two weekends every July, some say it's a sport, other's say it's just a drunken beach party. Either way, after 54 years everyone agrees, it is a part of what makes San Diego unique!

Important Over the Line Links

Everything you need to know about the infamous Over The Line Tournament in San Diego can be found on one of these sites:

OMBAC - Old Mission Bay Athletic Club, these are the guys the run the tournament itself.

Bus Routes to get to Fiesta Island.

Bikini Survivor - growing collection of stuff from events like OTL.

OTL Teams for Sale

I have contacts for one Men's and one Women's Open team that had to cancel and their spots are up for sale. You'd have to start playing as early at 7:30 am tomorrow morning. Let me know if you are interested and I will provide their phone numbers.

Doug Benson - Last Comic Standing

The most frustrating thing about watching Last Comic Standing has got to be the misrepresentation of stand up comedy as a form of entertainment and a way to make a living. However a close second is the way the producers edit the show to leave out certain things.

Last Chance for 2007 OTL Registration

In San Diego Sign-ups for San Diego area teams will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 9:00am. Please note, this is NOT what was in last year's program, the program was wrong.

The sign-ups will be at the Beachcomber/Pennant Bars on Mission Boulevard in South Mission Beach. The lines get long pretty quick so either show up early or come prepared to wait awhile (which isn't a bad thing, rather fun actually, just be prepared!)

Applications will be available on a first-come/first-served basis until all 1,100 applications are gone. One player from each team must be present.
